Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has received a final warning from the Riyadh Airport Authority (RAA) for non-payment of dues.

The authority has given PIA till July 15 to pay the outstanding amount of 8.2 million riyals.

If PIA does not pay by the deadline, the RAA has warned that this could affect the airline's winter flight schedule. PIA has also been warned about Jeddah Airport's failure to pay dues.

A PIA spokesperson confirmed that the RAA had issued a dues reminder. He said the airline is processing the payment and hopes to resolve the issue soon. The RAA's warning comes at a time when PIA is already in financial trouble. The airline has struggled to turn a profit for years.

Non- Payments of dues at Riyadh and Jeddah airports is one of the financial challenges faced by PIA. If the airline is unstable to pay within the deadline, its flights schedule may be further disrupted. This situation is also a shock to the Pakistani government, which is trying to revive the PIA. The government has injected billions of rupees into the airline in recent years, but has so far failed to turn things around.

The RAA's warning is a reminder of the challenges facing PIA. The airline must find a way to improve its financial performance if it is to survive.
